About the Advocacy
Founded in 1998, Bantay Kalikasan has a rich history of implementing projects with the goal of protecting and enriching our country’s natural environment bringing together various sectors of society in a dynamic collaboration. Its major projects include the rehabilitation of the La Mesa Watershed and La Mesa Ecopark, the cleaning of the tributaries of the Pasig River through Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig, advocating for responsible disposal of hazardous waste through Bantay Baterya and Langis, engaging communities through Citizen Science for the protection of the Verde Island Passage and other key biodiversity hotspots.
