ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. marks Christmas Party '09

Busy serving the Filipino people, AFI employees temporarily segued as they celebrated their Christmas party on December 15, 2009 at the Conference Room, AFI Building.

The party began as Esther Ramones of Production Services Group sang the National Anthem followed by the opening prayer delivered by Chief Accountant Lulu Viray. Hosts Erl Bacabac and Jen Hidalgo enigmatically steered the program.

Fun-filled games energized the celebration. Participants of Sinetch Itei? (Personality Charades game) impersonated AFI personalities in the likes of Messenger Ramil “Ganda” Balayon, Jocelyn Saw, Valerio Mendoza and Nica Tolentino. Employees also enjoyed playing Oo o Hindi; Polo Relay and Bring Me.

Bantay Bata Social Workers strutted their stuff on a dance number – indeed a testament of their flexibility. Highest Praise Chorale enchanted AFI’s Christmas festivity as they beautifully sang Christmas carols.

Gift packs from Payless Mami Noodles; Payless Pancit Shanghai; Marithé et Francois Girbaud wallets and sneakers; Nescafé; Christmas hams and groceries; hotel accommodation for two in Pearl of the Pacific in Boracay and cash prizes were given to lucky raffle winners.

AFI’s “Tanging Ina”, Gina Lopez, lauded Asset Management for their implementation of Donor Management; Accounting Department for fast-tracking the auditing of previous annual financial statements; La Mesa Nature Reserve foresters for a successful rehabilitation of the sole forest in Metro Manila; La Mesa Ecopark for the consistent increase in visitor traffic and; Kapit Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig for achieving outstanding result in the Pasig River system as shown in her presentation.

AFI also commemorated the remarkable performances of HR Manager Nica Tolentino and Children Center Teacher Maricar Estole as they bid goodbye in the foundation.
As part of the continuing improvement of the foundation, Gina Lopez announced the re-implementation of ‘five-day working scheme.’
