A Shindig for a Cause: AFI Employees Celebrate 20th Anniversary

AFI, bente na! Abante pa!

ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. rejoiced for its existence in two decades through General Assembly on August 17, 2009 at PDA Concert Hall.
Hosted by Jen Hidalgo of Bantay Bata and Paul Segui of Sagip Kapamilya, the AFI community altogether assessed its affable efforts to build a better world. AFI’s 20th anniversary VTR featuring the famous celebrities of ABS-CBN was presented. Deserving employees were granted awards.
Bantay Bata Program Director Tina Monson-Palma; Sagip Kapamilya – Social Development Manager Marcel Riñon; E-Media Program Director Zen Dimalanta; Bantay Kalikasan OIC-Program Director John Paul Balayon; Kapit Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig Project Director Girlie Aragon; BayaniJuan Project Head Mariles Gonzales and AFI – Management Support Group Head Eloisa Illustre updated the AFI community on the different aspects of the programs.
Alay Lingkod Awards were bestowed to BB Hotline 163 Social Workers/Counselors and E-Media’s Events & Communications Department. Arnold Sony of Finance Services Group and Creatives & Marketing Unit Head Paul Mercado received Special Awards for their unwavering commitment to AFI. Jenie Catiis-Chan of E-Media obtained the Bantayog Awards. Employees who served AFI for five (5), ten (10) and fifteen (15) years were granted Loyalty Awards. New employees were introduced in a dance number headed by Herbie Vetus.
Becca Tatel of Production Services Group won the grand prize of two to three day – hotel accommodation in Pearl of the Pacific in Boracay. Lucky AFI employees received Standard spin dryers.
