Dear Kapamilya,

Our country never fails to astound me. From the depths of the sea to the highest mountain, the Philippines is in a class on its own.

For twenty years, the commitment of the ABS-CBN Foundation has been to help the country and its people realize its potential by initiating programmes on education, child care, disaster management and the environment. We make sure that the projects we choose are all high impact.

Our present direction is the cleaning of the Pasig River which is a mammoth job because it is so multifaceted. It entails resettlement, solid waste management, and working together with different sectors. Media is the thread that binds it all.

As well, we are putting up Bayanijuan sites in Iba, Calauan, Puerto Princesa, Bicol and Sagada.

We can't fix the whole country but if we do a few projects well, we send out ripples of possibilities in the collective psyche.

Our work is all about hope. Every time we succeed, we awaken hope in what can be. At the end of the day, everything starts from hope. And that's what we are all about.

I want to thank all our donors and supporters. We are what we are and we have done what we have done for twenty years because people cared enough to make things happen. It is because of this compassion that the light of our country continues to burn brightly. It is also because of this that I continue to hope, believe and do.
